Antix - Baptism Of Fire +2 (CD)

1986 was a very good year for metal and rock in general. Yet, amidst the sheer volume of releases, many excellent acts inevitably fell by the wayside or remained little more than an insider tip. Such was the case for the Canadian band ANTIX, who unfortunately only managed to produce one album and one EP. That EP is now being released remastered on CD for the first time, expanded with two bonus tracks from their 1985 demo sessions. It features quintessential eighties metal with a solid dose of hard rock elements. Fans of HELIX, CONEY HATCH or KILLER DWARFS should definitely take note as the guitar work by Dennis Cameron is particularly impressive. (MS)
