Gone Savage - Retrograde (CD)

GONE SAVAGE and their timeless, versatile hard rock are a well-kept secret. The British band have been founded back in 1990 but was inactive for a very long time. But their current effort "Retrograde", which comes out now on CD for the first time, offers some eighties vibes plus a few rather contemporary arrangements that makes them appeal to a broader audience, though. There is a top-class production, a fine vocalist by the name of Will Glover and a beautiful artwork by Hugh Syme (e.g. RUSH) as the icing on the cake. Lovely record! "World Gone Crazy" is a great impression here. (MS)
