Anette Olzon - Rapture (CD)

ANETTE OLZON from Sweden (v, THE DARK ELEMENT, ex NIGHTWISH, ex ALYSON AVENUE) with a new solo effort, her third one. "Rapture" is mostly symphonic metal but constantly heavily melodic and at times pretty heavy, too. She is in great shape vocally. The songwriting and most instruments (g/b/keys) by Magnus Karlsson (PRIMAL FEAR) who has proved his talents for many, many moons. Check out the grooving "Cast Evil Out" and the pretty heavy "Arise" as well as the dreamy and beautiful "Hear My Song" foremost. Female-fronted melodic metal of the really good type.
