Barnes - Long Road (CD)

American musician Ron Barnes delivers an excellent CD; on "Long Road", the album by his band Barnes, he is responsible for songwriting, drums, and keyboards, among other things. Produced by Joey Vana - son of Joe Vana (Mecca, Missing Toys) - and Barnes, the album strikes the perfect balance between West Coast sounds (“Karma”), AOR (“Long Road”), and Melodic Rock (“Wish You Well”). In addition to Joey Vana on guitar, the album also features Mike Aquino (Pride Of Lions) as a guest guitarist, Joe Vana on backing vocals, and Gary Lunn (bass, WhiteHeart).  Outstanding vocals reminiscent of Richard Marx by Wally Swiatly. One of the highlights of the year and a must-have for fans of the bands mentioned above. (BS)
