Parhelyon - From Dark To Light (CD)

Powerful and bombastic but very melodic metal from Germany with elven-like female vocals (Tanja Hansen) and some gothic and even more symphonic elements. PARHELYON, which basically means "sun next to the sun", easily manages to showcase fine hooklines and versatile arrangements. Songwriter, multi- instrumentalist and producer Michael Vetter (u.a. BLACK & DAMNED, PUMP) is on fire. Tracks like "Silence In Darkness" or "Emphasis" show the great potential of this outfit that probably already found their distictive sound on the debut. (MS)
