Spider - Between The Lines (CD) (Deluxe Collector's Edition)

American band SPIDER has been active from 1977 to 1984 but with their third output they changed name to SHANGHAI. The first two records "Spider" (1980) und "Between The Lines" (1981) with songwriting icon Holly Knight on keyboards are (finally) reissued. Style-wise they are reminiscent of STARSHIP, ROMEO'S DAUGHTER and HEART and the band around frontwoman Amanda Blue Leigh is able to put little exciting details in each and every song. Change" and "Addicted To Love" have been recorded by JOHN WAITE and TINA TURNER later. As a standard in Rock Candy, both albums are remastered and provided with a new, enhanced booklet each. (MS)
