Dark Heart - Evolution (CD)

British outfit DARK HEART put out their debut "Shadows Of The Night" in 1984 before going to sleep for several decades. Melodic hard rock with catchy melodies, which for the most part moves away from the NWOBHM of those days. Frontman and only remaining founding member Alan Clark is well known from the melodic/AOR band CHANGE OF HEART with whom he put out four albums so far, delivers remarkable songwriting and expressive vocals. "Spread Your Wing" breathes this type of DNA, too, and is reminiscent of NEWMAN. The album was produced by Pete Newdeck and mastered by Harry Hess (HAREM SCAREM). (MS)
