Michael Sweet - The Master Plan (CD)

STRYPER frontman MICHAEL SWEET with yet another solo effort. You csan find several stylistic surprises and foremost, strong songwriting. It is quieter than the previous albums and, of course, full of Christian lyrics. "The Master Plan" is a pretty mature piece of work. Therefore, not only STRAYPER fans will enjoy this album. Starting off the record with an epic ballad, the title track, is a rather brave move but it works out fine, though. Especially the variety of guitar sounds and, of course, the range of vocal styles of the American is pretty remarkable here. (MS)
