Helix - Scrap Metal (CD)

Canadian outfit HELIX have never been commercially successful outside their home country but quality-wise ,they always delivered. And they do so on "Scrap Metal", too, their studio album number fifteen in total. The band around frontman Brian Vollmer offers five brandnew tracks here and seven co-called deep cuts, meaning B-sides and rarities from 1986-2019, some of them actually newly re-recorded. Just check out the catchy "Stuck In The '80s", co-written by Sean Kelly (g, CONEY HATCH, LEE AARON). HELIX have been and still are the blueprint of Canadian hard rock and metal. (MS)
