CIVIL DAZE and their powerful melodic rock with much hard rock elements hits you right between the eyes. The Swedish outfit, whose mastermind Mikael Danielsson (g) and the guys are pretty experienced players. If you are into BAD SISTER, SARAYA, ALYSON AVENUE or VIXEN, this is the type of sound you love. Frontwoman Helena Sommerdahl rocks big time and does also not lack lots of emotion. "A Million Miles Away" and "Face Down In The Dirt" should be proof enough. There are no fillers and the production, too, does not need to hide from anybody. (MS)
