Sister Whiskey - Liquor & Poker (CD)

"Liquor & Poker", the only album from the American band SISTER WHISKEY, originally released in 1993, is, surprise, surprise, whiskey-soaked Southern Rock with echoes of AEROSMITH, LYNYRD SKYNYRD and THE ROLLING STONES. Produced by Dana Strum (SLAUGHTER), the five-piece, fronted by Dennis Lee Duncan, delivers thirteen tracks that practically cry out to be performed on the stages of small, smoky, authentic clubs. Songs like "Can You Satisfy Me" and "Sleepin’ Your Life Away" offer a solid taste of what’s in store: timeless, occasionally bluesy hard rock that effortlessly brings the good old days back to life.
