Silent Running - Northstar (Digi-Sleeve CD)

Northern Irish band SILENT RUNNING from Belfast with their fifth album. xxx songs in the vein of DARE or STRANGEWAYS. "Northstar" offers ten songs with mature songwriting that capture the listener right away. Production-wise it's crystal-clear and multi-layered. Tracks like "This Is My City Tonigh" and "You And Me Against The World" as well as the atmospheric ballad "Seventh Wave" are good starters here. Peter Gamble (v/g) is reminiscent of typical eighties sounds from acts like GLASS TIGER or SIMPLE MINDS. SILENT RUNNING definitely is a band worth checking out. (MS)
