Glenn Hughes - Chosen (CD)

GLENN HUGHES (e.g. ex-DEEP PURPLE, BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION) obviously manages the impossible. He doesn't seem to age at all. His voice is still there and magic. But also the song material on "Chosen" is both classic hard rock and not old-fashioned in any way. The whole album, the first output since "Resonate" (2016) and lyric-wise a very personal and emotional one, though, sounds fresh and heavy but not modern whatsoever. "Voice In My Head" or "The Lost Parade", for example, will underline this statement easily. The sound is massive, too! (MS)
