Issa - Fire & Ice (CD)

A very reliable force in terms of AOR and melodic rock with female vocals is Norwegian-born ISSA who lives in England for quite some time. As usual, the material is penned and also played and recorded by the Martin brothers Tom and James (ex VEGA, NITRATE, THE SWITCH). You get very melodic sounds, mostly pure AOR, but also songs with a few surprises here and there like the synthwave-infused "Running From The Night" or the mighty "Bullet On The Road" reminiscent of JIM STEINMAN. Lovers of CHEZ KANE, VIXEN or (the eighties) HEART will dig this album for sure. (MS)
