Bangalore Choir - Payload (CD)

The killer debut from the band fronted by David Reece (ex-ACCEPT, ex-BONFIRE) in the early nineties, with its 1980s-style melodic rock, arrived probably a few years too late. A long hiatus followed, but in recent years, the band has returned with a string of strong releases and compelling live performances. Their brand-new effort "Payload" largely manages to recapture the brilliance of their earlier work. Reece’s vocals remain excellent and powerful and everything from the production to the songwriting is absolutely spot on. A cool record! A recommended track to check out is the energetic opener "Tear It All Down". (MS)
