DUKE JUPITER from New York and their 1978 and 1979 albums "Sweet Cheeks" and "Taste The Night" offer beautiful soundscapes with characteristic twin lead guitars. Wonderful, slightly funky stuff which beams the listener directly into the late seventies. It's a cool mixture between EARTH, WIND & FIRE, ORLEANS and MOTHER'S FINEST at times but also with their own signature elements. The instrumental "Days Between Us" is fantastic and the melodic "You Know That’s Why I Love You" are really good starters here. Simply real and authentic music! (MS)
