Bob Catley - When Empires Burn (CD)

The fourth BOB CATLEY solo album is rereleased with the addition of two bonus cuts and a new artwork. The frontman of MAGNUM with his charismatic voice is one of the best in the melodic genre. Written and produced by Paul Hudson (keys, ex-TEN), the songs offer multi-layered sounds and big choruses allover. In general, probably the heaviest output of the Englischman with rocking highlights like "Children Of The Circle" or "The Prophecy". But also the (half-)ballad "Every Beat Of My Heart" is cracker. "When Empires Burn" gets a very decent treatment here. (MS)
