Atlas - Built To Last (CD)

The third ATLAS album "Built To Last" offers the well-known and easy accessible mix of AOR and slightly progressive songmaterial. The foremost principle of the British outfit is a cool hooline and there are lots of them (e.g. "All Or Nothing", "One More Night" or "Another Heartbreak") Also, the three parts of "Chasing Portraits", which follow a thin red line, are highlights. The production and the mix for the first times goes back to mastermind James Thorley (keys) wheras mastering was done by Thomas Johannsson (u.a. THUNDERMOTHER). Amazing songs without any weak spots. If DREAM THEATER would be an AOR band, they would probably just sound like this. (MS)
