Gary Hendrickson - Liberty (CD)

GARY HENDRICKSON, fronter and guitarist of GENOCIDE, with a new solo album, his fourth in total. Suitable for lovers of HELLOWEEN and PRETTY MAIDS and the like as well as the solo records of HELLOWEEN frontman ANDI DERIS. "Liberty" offers strong roots in heavy metal, but provides fine hard rock here and there, too. The eight tracks showcase excellent guitars like rocking tracks like "Into The Storm" or "Guardians Of Rage", but also the rather quiet "Islands" show. A good production with love for details completes the picture on "Liberty". (MS)
