Frontline - Rebirth (CD)

FRONTLINE is back! Frontman Stefan Kämmerer, the only original member of the legendary Southern German AOR/melodic, put together a new line-up, actually the first in decades. Even though the spirit of the good old FRONTLINE days is not fully reached, you get many nice hooklines and quite a good mixture within the stylistic range of the genre. Really good to hear Kämmerer sing melodic rock again. Nevertheless, the sound/the songwriting is a bit too generic at times. Just check out "Blacktop Parachute", "Burning Shadows" and "Heart On The Dashboard". Let's see where the journey leads them. (MS)
