Häven - Where Angels Fear To Tread (CD)

HÄVEN is the name of a new band featuring GABRIELLE DE VAL (v) and Tommy Denander (g, RADIOACTIVE). The sound is somewhat harder and grittier than the AOR/melodic rock that the Spain-based artist releases under her own name. The focus is primarily on heavy sounds, with forays into power and symphonic metal. A very solid production, along with, of course, the frontwoman’s distinctive voice, serves as another compelling reason to check out "Where Angels Fear To Tread". Tracks like "The Hunger Inside" and "Frozen In Time" are the kind that will stick in your head for a long time. A very pleasant surprise! (MS)
