Maxx Explosion - Forever & Dirty Angels +2 (2CD)

The American band MAXX EXPLOSION is essentially HOUSE OF LORDS without vocalist and bandleader James Christian. Bassist Chris McCarvill handles lead vocals, supported by guitarist Jimi Bell and drummer B.J. Zampa. Eönian Records is reissuing their albums "Forever" (2013) and "Dirty Angels" (2015) in a compact package; each includes a bonus track, one of which is a superb cover version of Chris Isaak’s "Wicked Game." McCarvill delivers a fantastic vocal performance that stands up to any comparison and the band’s songwriting offers top-notch melodic rock with a feel-good vibe, though. (MS)
