Stryper - Throne Of Thorns (CD)

STRYPER seem to be experiencing a third wind and a pretty powerful one, as "Throne Of Thorns," their eighteenth album, impressively demonstrates. The American band, led by frontman and guitarist Michael Sweet, hasn't sounded this fresh and vigorous in a long time. As always, the veteran Christian metallers wrap their weighty lyrics in a classic metal sound. Whether tackling faster tracks ("Beautifully Broken" or "Shadowbreaker") or lumbering mid-tempo anthems ("Waiting For You"), Stryper truly know their craft. Amen! (MS)
