Silent Running - Deep (CD)

SILENT RUNNING from Northern Ireland with their third record that came out 1989 and which would be the last for a long time. It is a hybrid of bands like SIMPLE MINDS, DURAN DURAN, GLASS TIGER and U2 on the one hand and typical eighties AOR on the other hand. The four-piece, consisting of Peter Gamble (v), Tony Scott (g), Richard Collett (b) and Ian Gault (d), manages to easily satisfy both rock fans and average radio listeners alike. The production is first class, which comes to no surprise as the band was signed to a major label back in the day. "Deep In The Heart Of Nowhere" or "Strength Of Our Love" are strong teasers here.
