M.Ill.ION - Legend (CD)

After a few years of some kind of hiatus, the Swedish outfit M.ILL.ION around band leader B.J. Laneby (b) are back with their first full-blown new album after more than ten years. You get quality melodic rock that can basically be  compared to H.E.A.T. or HEARTLAND. At times there is pure AOR ("The Legend Lives On"). But most of the nine tracks are melodic rock with a slice of classic rock, like the energetic opener "Kingmaker" or the anthem-like "Wheels & Wings", too. Martin Kronlund (e.g. GYPSY ROSE) is responsible for mix and production, which is powerful and slightly rough. Good to have them back! (MS)
