Another solo album of the busy hardrock voice RONNIE ROMERO (e.g. RAINBOW, ELEGANT WEAPONS, LORDS OF BLACK, ex-MSG) awaits lovers of fine hard rock. "Backbone", the second solo effort, is the first output to feature a track each by RUSS BALLARD and ROY Z as well as a guitar solo by Kee Marcello (ex EUROPE) and it surprises with heavyness and the policy of making no compromises. Although not every song meets the sheer quality of e.g. "Bring The Rock" and "Never Felt This Way", this record certainly is massive. Pretty remarkable is the BLACK SABBATH cover "Devil And Daughter", too. (MS)
