WARWOLF, formerly WOLFEN from Cologne, with their third album by now. Produced, mixed and mastered by Chris Boltendahl (GRAVE DIGGER). Influences like IRON MAIDEN are certainly not denied here. Powerful and raw heavy metal without any fuzz such as samples, keyboards and so on. The loosely connected concept album is pretty authentic, unspoiled and has got quite a good frontman (Andreas von Lipinski) on board. Absolute timeless music. The highlight is the epic title track of the album with a really cool arc of suspense. (MS)
