Baton Rouge - Lights Out On The Playground (CD)

"Lights Out On The Playground", the second BATON ROUGE album, originally published in 1991, showcases the American hard rock band around vocalist Kelly Keeling in great shape although this record could not fully catch up with the success of the debut "Shake Your Soul" from 1990. "Slave To The Rhythm", "Tokyo Time" or "Dreamin' In Black And White" are impressive compositions and the first class production (Jack Ponti and Vic Pepe) is the icing on the cake. Pretty sad that not much more came out of this outfit. Right after the release of this album, the tensions within the band grew stronger and stronger. Finest American hard rock. (MS)
