Asia - Indigo +1 (CD)

ASIA are experiencing a third wind - at the very least! The music is highly melodic, rich in progressive elements and showcases exceptional musicianship that never feels overstuffed or cluttered. The current lineup with Geoff Downes (keys), Virgil Donati (drums), John Mitchell (guitar) and Harry Whitley (vocals/bass) complements one another perfectly. It certainly holds its own when compared to the classic lineup (of which only Downes remains). Guest appearances by Steve Howe (guitar, YES) and Mike Portnoy (drums, DREAM THEATER) round off a fantastic record. A standout track is the single "Echoes Of You," which features a truly breathtaking chorus. (MS)
