Heartland - Communication Down (CD) Original CD Pressing

British HEARTLAND outfit deliver high quality melodic rock with classic rock roots for many, many years. Vocalist Chris Ousey (VIRGINIA WOLF, THE DISTANCE) does great here and is partly reminiscent of Eric Martin (MR.BIG) in terms of vocal phrasing. Album eight out of eleven until now shines because of a very pleasant mix of rockers and rather slow tracks with fantastic guitars (Steve Morris). To put it a nutshell, HEARTLAND are an absolute institution of the melodic scene and add to every collection with "Communication Down" likely being one of the sheer highlights of this fine band. (MS)
