THE DECCAN TRAPS from England and their playful, sophisticated but constantly melodic rock is the real deal. Neil Fairclough (b), Lois Dagnall (backing vocals) and John Dagnall (piano/g) start writing songs roundabout a decade ago and with Ricardo Afonso (v), they eventually discover the right frontman. On "Dream Of A Thousand Nights" a certain Brian May, who wrote rock history with QUEEN, is guesting on guitar. High quality and authentic, sophisticated sounds or in other words real music is delievred here. The dreamy "Spellbound" makes up a great appetizer. Two tracks are included as studio live versions, too. (MS)
