The strong 2023 debut of SCOTT FREE from England is a pure AOR record with slices of Westcoast here and there. Even though the production might not be perfect, the quality of songwriting and the emotional guitars are remarkable. In addition to that, tracks like "Fool In Love" or "Darkness Of The Night" would be cool expansions to the SURVIVOR, NIGHT RANGER or FM catalogues. Uptempo AOR and power ballads complement each other in a good way on "Right Before My Eyes". "Save Your Tears", too, showcaes lots of hit potential. (MS)
