Beyond The Blue - Beyond The Blue (CD)

"Beyond The Blue", the self-titled and unfortunately only album of the Dutch outfit came out in 1990, which was quite a bad timing for such a poppy and Westcoast-infused sound. The quality of the material is really good, just like the fine production. Despite the pop approach there are pristine guitars throughout. Just let tracks like "More Than Ever Before" or "Intoxicated" shine which will make friends of the genre smile brightly. Another highlight is the melodic "Atlantic Summer". This re-release of a long-forgotten jewel really makes sense - especially for fans of Toto. (MS)
