German hard rockers MALLET have existed in various line-ups since 1979, and their latest work "Time For The Devil" is good stuff for fans of GOTTHARD, KROKUS, BONFIRE or MOON'DOC, but without featuring too heavy guitars. Highlights are the rocking "Running Man" and the semi-ballad "Sunshine Of My Life". Clean and powerfully produced, MALLET don't need to hide from anyone. Partly with light Southern Rock moments ("Rock'n'Roll Man" or "House Of Love"). "Big Surprise" with its poppy sound would surely be some kind of hit in a better world. Good record!
