Soledriver - Return Me To Light (CD)

This new project combines the well-known talents of Alessandro Del Vecchio (g/b/keys, e.g. HARDLINE, REVOLUTION SAINTS) and Michael Sweet (v, STRYPER, ex-BOSTON) who get support from Michele Sanna (d). The SOLEDRIVER debut has its moments for sure ("Anymore" or "Hope's Holding You") but surely faces lots of competitors in the given genre of melodic rock. Fans of the on the one hand velvety soft and on the other powerful voice of Sweet will definitely enjoy these eleven tracks. A highlight on "Return Me To Light", too, is the ballad-like "Spinning Wheel". (MS)
