Alcatrazz - Take No Prisoners (CD)

ALCATRAZZ are pretty productive with three albums in roundabout three years. The newest effort and album number six in total since the band's founding in 1983 carries on the well-known path. "Take No Prisoners" sounds fresh and pleasantly familiar at the same time. "Battlelines", which is already released as a video, provides a good first impression. Driving hard rock with a strong voice (Doogie White) and stunning guitars (Joe Stump). Two original members by the name of Jimmy Waldo (keys) and Gary Shea (b) are still around. The band offers traditional sounds with massive seventies-like keyboards, anthem-like refrains and on the song "Don't Get Mad...Get Even" with GIRLSCHOOL illustrous guests. That's the way it should be!
