Grand Design – Rawk (CD)

Swedish outfit GRAND DESIGN celebrates their love and commitment for big anthem-like choruses and rock‘n‘roll attitude in general on their sixth output „Rawk“, too. Like all the previous records, „RAWK“ offers lots of DEF LEPPARD references. Frontman Pelle Saether and the guys pour out positive vibes all over the record and offer an authentic and powerful production equipped with lots of eighties moments and sounds. There are no fillers, so just check out „God Bless Rawk ‚n‘ Roll“, „Love Or A Fantasy“ and „Carry On My Wind“ for example. The latter comes with a guest appearance of Veith Offenbächer (g, DAWN OF DESTINY). Probably the best effort so far. And the first five albums were all but bad.
