Hailing from Memphis, Tora Tora won a rock contest put on by a local record store and they took the money and made a demo. The demo lead to a record deal with A & M records and their debut album „Surprise Attack“ was released in 1989. This is a splendid album that shows what rock is all about unfortunately it also shows us how important timing is. This came out in 1989. Kiss, Poison, Cinderella, Skid Row, and a few others were still putting out pretty good stuff, but this album was like a breath of fresh air. These guys, along with Tesla and Badlands, were way overlooked. Digitally remastered re-issue from Bad Reputation records incl. 4 bonus tracks.
