Insania - The Great Apocalypse (CD)

INSANIA, founded back in 1992, play fine melodic power metal. The four-piece from Sweden follows the path of the last strong efffort "V" (2021) easily. "The Great Apocalypse" is full of anthemic, versatile but constantly within the boundaries of the genre. Obviously, the usual suspects like HELLOWEEN, GAMMA RAY or BLOODBOUND can be clearly identified as influences but that's nothing to be ashamed of, is it? Fronman and gitarrist Ola Halén is reminiscent of Michael Kiske (HELLOWEEN) more than once. "Revolution" is a good example of the sound of a strong melodic metal effort. (MS)
