THE RINN from St.Petersburg/Russia play a really cool mixture of melodic metal, hard and folk rock, mostly with lovely female vocals but at times with complementary rough male vocals, too. The album invites listeners on a mesmerizing journey through realms of magic, dreams and boundless imagination. Lots of symphonic/melodic metal is at hand but also violins, flutes and even bagpipes can be found here and there, fitting the songs in an interesting way. The melodic "Green Fairy" is a representative first step into the world of the band. (MS)
