Bonfire - Higher Ground (CD)

BONFIRE basically always deliver. But new vocalist Dyan Mair provides a totally amazing performance, too, and the compositions, melodic as always, and mostly wrapped into massive arrangements, rock like hell. "Higher Ground" with its nine new tracks (plus one intro and a new version of "Rock’n’Roll Survivor") somehow revive the most successful period of the Ingolstadt/Germany-based band from mid/end eighties easily. The title track would have been a hit in a better world same as "I Died Tonight" or the ballad "When Love Comes Down". Hats off to Hans Ziller (g) and the guys. Goosebumps!
