Smokin' Roadie - Born Into Rock N Roll +1 (CD)

Founded in 1981 in the "Black Country", the West Midlands in England, this three-piece and their cool mixture of AOR, hard rock and NWOBHM made only one album in 1989 which came out in Japan only and under the name of THE NOW. Limited to 500 units and equipped with one unreleased bonus cut ("Hearts Of Stone"). Frontman and guitarrist Rue Phillips and the guys rock, are fun and manage to grab the listener's attention straight away. Probably not every song is on the same level but this outfit is way too good to be ignored. "Just take "Cheating"... (MS)
