The 1979 bedut of American hard rockers AXE around frontman and guitarist Bobby Barth takes elements from their fellow Americans of KISS, CHEAP TRICK, LYNYRD SKYNYRD as well as (early) FOREIGNER and BLUE ÖYSTER CULT. An outstandig end of the record is the beautifully crafted ballad "Battles". Also "Life's Just An Illusion" and "Back On The Streets" are great first impressions of the album. This record belongs to every collection, especially in this fine edition with a brandnew booklet with liner notes even though there are no bonus cuts whatsoever. (MS)
