David Forbes - Tales Of The Past (CD)

Canadian DAVID FORBES, frontman of AOR legends BOULEVARD, with his first ever solo effort. Together with Steve Newman (NEWMAN) he penned twelve songs which were amazingly produced by Newman, too. Some of the songs offer a certain SURVIVOR touch (e.g. "Girl Tell Me Why" or "Face Another Heartache") whereas, of course, others carry the BOULEVARD DNA (e.g. "Have We Learned Nothing?"). Big ballads, too, are on board ("Endless Night"). A strong output full of honest, authentic melodic rock tunes which are presented by the excellent voice of the protagonist. Essentiell stuff for every collection. Top class! (MS)
