Steelcity - Reverence (CD)

The American band STEELCITY and their punchy hard rock with strong and undeniable eighties roots might very well appeal to fans of KISS, (newer) EUROPE or WINGER. Friontman Roy Cathey (COLD SWEAT) is doing a great job vocally but the roaring guitars of Mike Floros are the main ingriedient here on "Reverence" for sure. Just check out the irresitible "Dizzy" and the pretty WHITESNAKE-like "Midnight Dancer" with its fine melody. STEELCITY album number three is the best so far and shines with an impressive production, too. Good record! (MS)
