Stryper - When We Were Kings (CD)

STRYPER follow their path of Christian faith-based music on album number twelve, too. There are some little surprise, though. "Grateful" for instance is a pretty poppy tune and "Loves Symphony" successfully combines cool riffing with a beautiful and gripping melody. But - as usual with the Americans - it is not all gold that shines here although "When We Were Kings" is very likely the best STRYPER output in years. Michael Sweet (v/g) and the guys rock without compromises and straight forward all the time. Therefore, the fans will love it for sure. "End Of Days" is a good starter into the record. Amen! (MS)
