US outfit 8084 was formed in 1982. Keyboard player Charlie Hawthorne, vocalist Randy Smith, and drummer Gary Spaulding met through a mutual friend and began planning the concept of a high energy, commercial, original rock group. Four years later in 1986 8084 caught the eye of Boston producer/drummer for the band New England, Hirsh Gardner. Hirsh Gardner produced their selftitled debut which only got released on vinyl and cassette on a small indie label. Their 2nd album „Love & War“ got released in 1989 and was produced by the mighty Aldo Nova and Hirsh Gardner. Both albums are prime examples of mega classic 80s pomp AOR like Le Roux, Fortune & cohorts. First time ever on CD (2 on 1, digi pak) – don’t miss it !
